Join BASE Arizona for an exciting and empowering family event featuring former NBA Champion A.C. Green! This unique event blends basketball fundamentals with mentorship, leadership training, and crucial health awareness.
FREE adult medical screenings are available for parents of children attending the camp and parents of scholars attending the Academy of Math and Science - South Mountain. Our partner, A.C. Green's laboratory, First Bio Genetics, is committed to supporting this important event by providing a range of essential health services. Screenings include early detection of cancer, diabetes, kidney disease, and high blood pressure, courtesy of Bio Genetics.
Additionally, First Bio Genetics will be offering routine blood testing, including complete blood counts (CBC), lipid panels, and glucose tests. Other services include drug testing, genetic cancer testing, Pharmacogenomics, and molecular tests for urinary tract infections (UTI) and wound infections, among others. We believe that these services will greatly benefit attendees by providing them with valuable health information and promoting overall wellness.

About A.C. Green: A.C. Green, a three-time NBA Champion and former All-Star, is best known for his ironman streak, playing in 1,192 consecutive games—the longest in NBA history. A key player for the Los Angeles Lakers, Green won championships in 1987, 1988, and 2000 and was renowned for his defensive prowess, leadership, and commitment to health and fitness.
About Olden Polynice: Olden Polynice, a former NBA center, played 15 seasons in the league with teams such as the Seattle SuperSonics, Los Angeles Clippers, and Sacramento Kings. Known for his strong defensive presence and rebounding ability, Polynice was a key contributor throughout his career and has remained active in mentoring young athletes.
About Corey Gaines: Corey Gaines, a former NBA point guard, played for multiple teams including the Phoenix Suns and New York Knicks. After his playing career, he transitioned into coaching, serving as head coach of the WNBA’s Phoenix Mercury, where he led the team to a championship in 2009. His expertise in leadership and player development has made him a respected mentor in the basketball community.
